CRB 2017 Abstracts - Deadlines and Procedures
DEADLINE: Wednesday, May 10, 2017
The CRB welcomes abstracts reporting new basic, clinical, and/or translational research findings concerning reproductive sciences. Please adhere to all rules for the submission and format of abstracts.
Confirmation of Submission
All authors of each abstract will receive an e-mail confirmation.
An Abstract Review Committee will review each abstract for scientific merit and content. Most abstracts will be presented as posters; the Review Committee will select approximately 11 abstracts (2 postdoc and 9 predoc) for platform presentation.
It is CRB policy that every abstract submitted by trainees be considered for both the oral and poster competitions. Any undergraduate student submitting an abstract may request to only present a poster by emailing Carolyn Emerson-Farr at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All Abstracts Must Be Submitted via Email
The submission deadline is Midnight (EST) on Wednesday, May 10, 2017. Please submit a Word document to Carolyn Emerson-Farr at email@example.com.
Notification of Acceptance
All authors will be notified by e-mail if they are chosen for a platform presentation by Friday, May 26, 2017.
Rules Governing Submission of Abstracts
General Requirements: Data and conclusions presented at the meeting must be based on the same research described in the submitted abstract.
Authorship and Presentation: An individual may be the presenting author of only one abstract; however, an author’s name may appear on more than one.
Meeting Attendance: Submission of an abstract constitutes an agreement that the presenting author will attend the meeting to present the abstract if the abstract is accepted. The presenting author must register for the meeting before or at the time of abstract submission. If the presenting author has not registered by the abstract deadline (May 10, 2017), the abstract may be withdrawn.
Content: Abstracts must be written in clear, concise, and grammatically correct American English. Abstracts should contain the following: statement of specific objectives, unless given by the title; brief statement of methods if pertinent; summary of results, and statement of conclusions.
Format: The abstract—excluding title, authors, and affiliations—may not exceed 3500 characters, including spaces. If your abstract is too long, it will be truncated as necessary; thus, please pre-check the word and character count before submitting your abstract.
Withdrawal: If an abstract must be withdrawn, a written notice of withdrawal must be received via email. This notice must state that all authors are in agreement that the abstract must be withdrawn. All authors will receive a written confirmation of the withdrawal by e-mail.
Disclosure of Affiliations: Each author must disclose any financial, personal, or professional relationships with other people or organizations that could reasonably be perceived as conflicts of interest or as potentially influencing or biasing their work. Author(s) disclosure(s) must appear on the oral abstract presentation slides or poster presentation board.
